Vanished
My concern for Yelsha was bothering me deeply so I decided to follow her as she beckoned me back to the rocky path that led to our den. As I walked closely behind her I started imagining what could be wrong. See the past few days the mighty sun had been shining down on us more than usual. I'm not one to complain about the weather, but it was very hot even for me. Could this be what's wrong? Or maybe it was that loud crunching noise that rattled our den about 2 days ago. It woke up our 2 two cubs, Luta my daughter and my son Luban, and we never figured out what it was. We assumed the humans and one of their monster machines. Scary stuff. There are stories of these machines flattening whole forests in minutes. I pray this is not what's bothering Yelsha. We continue down the rocky path, hopping down rock by rock I try to cheer up my mate by playing a game of tag as we move down. She just shrugs it off and moves faster. Finally we arrive at the den where the children are, but wait somethings different....it's too quiet. As I look in the den to see what the pups are doing I see the problem..... their not there!

Ekeze's Rock
As I howled to the moon on my favorite rock at the edge of the highest cliff in Arizona, I thought to myself what a great life I have! I take a break from howling for a bit and I look out at the tiny lights that represent the human dens. I can't help but notice there are a lot more of them tonight. Naw can't be, it's my imagination. I laid there, one paw under my chin, soaking in the night air. Out of the corner of my eye I notice my life mate, Yelsha, is coming over to me. She nuzzles my nose the way we usually greet and I lick her face. After doing so I notice that she pulls away from me a little and has a sad look on her face. I wonder what could be wrong with my Yelsha....
I am Zeke the red wolf and this is my story...
